Visiting Cammo

We hope you enjoy your visit and that you love the park as much as we do. Please see below for some guidelines for park users to follow, to help us care for Cammo and keep it as a beautiful natural space.

Things you can do to help us take care of the park

  • As you walk in the fields, please try to avoid standing on the wildflower by keeping to the existing paths wherever possible.

  • When walking dogs, please try to keep them out of the stream and wetland if possible, as they break down plants and disturb nesting birds. Dogs are welcome to swim in the canal pond next to the ruin, instead.

  • Please aim to keep dogs close by and within your control, so that they don’t disturb or scare other park users (especially children).

  • Picnics and food are welcome in the park, but please take any litter away with you or dispose of it in the bins provided. There are bins in both of the car parks and by the entrance gate.

  • Please clean up after your dog and dispose of any dog poo bags in the bins provided. We sometimes find full poo bags in the hedgerows or around the park, which has a negative impact on the wildlife.

  • As you walk around the woodland, you may see piles of deadwood. These have been put there to create habitats for animals, so please don’t move them or use them for firewood.

  • Fires and barbecues are not permitted in the park.

  • Please leave the park better than you found it!
